NY attorney general to appeal ruling quashing $464 mn Trump penalty

NEW YORK, United States (AFP) — New York’s top law officer Letitia James, said Thursday she would appeal a ruling that threw out a $464 million civil penalty against United States (US) President Donald Trump for inflating his worth.

“We will seek an appeal to the Court of Appeals and continue to protect the rights and interests of New Yorkers,”  James said in a statement, which noted that Thursday’s ruling upheld the original judgment against Trump.
