JLP, PNP both confident they are on path to election victory
THE governing Jamaica Labour Party (JLP), which is going for a third-consecutive term in Government, and the People’s National Party (PNP) have stepped up efforts to convince Jamaicans that they are on the road to victory in the September 3 General Election.
On Wednesday PNP bigwig Peter Bunting told the Jamaica Observer that the party has “peaked at just the right time”.
But on Thursday JLP Campaign Chairman Dr Christopher Tufton told a media briefing that the party’s internal polls “show [it] with the momentum” heading to the polls.
