PPIVOTT takes broadcast duties for top flight league
FOOTBALL fans will be able to watch, click and interact during the Jamaica Premier League (JPL) when the 2025-26 season starts today.
1LUVTVpowered by PPIVOTT’s Over The Top partner Kiswe, says the partnership will give fans what it describes as high-level live broadcast on all platforms globally.
The league’s new official and exclusive host broadcaster is the Jamaican-owned PPIVOTT LLC, and its Jamaican affiliate 284 Holdings Limited. They are a global partner of Tata Communication, a broadcast technology firm which airs Formula1, SailGP, World Athletics, Concacaf, IPL Cricket and other global clientele.
“PPIVOTT has a strong belief in the intellectual properties of sports and entertainment in the Caribbean region, and has earned the trust of Tata Communications as they lead critical projects for us in Jamaica and the region,” Global Media Services Director Utkarsh Gosain says.
Starting on Sunday September 7, the Jamaica Premier League will be aired live every Sunday and Monday for over 44 weeks, and will also be on select free-to-air and cable channels in Jamaica and across the Caribbean region.
“After 25 years in the broadcast industry it’s a joy to finally see a lifetime vision to export Jamaica and the Caribbean content to the world become a reality — and the Jamaican Premier League is just the beginning,” PPIVOTT founder and Director O’Neil Walters says.
The JPL, which has been in existence for 50 years, and under the management of PFJL and its new host broadcaster PPIVOTT and host production partner Phase 3, will produce over 160 matches across 80 game days this season.
“As the leading broadcast production house in the Caribbean region we are happy to partner with PPIVOTT LLC on a journey to create content that will create impact in a global marketplace,” Phase 3 Productions Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Delano Forbes says. “We did a bidding process and PPIVOTT LLC came in with the best vision, production mix, commercialisation plan, and growth strategy for the league so, amid all the concerns with newness of technology, we took a leap of faith into the future,” Professional Football Jamaica CEO Owen Hill says.
