SCA Marketing Masterminds celebrates five years of delivering results
EVERY standout brand has a story, and behind many of those stories is a marketing team shaping the narrative. For the past five years SCA Marketing Masterminds has been that team for a growing roster of Jamaican businesses, delivering campaigns that cut through the noise and achieve measurable results.
The agency was born out of boldness. In 2020, when much of the business world was retreating, Suwannee ‘SuperSue’ Caine was charging forward. Against the backdrop of a global pandemic and widespread economic uncertainty, she made the decision to launch SCA Marketing Masterminds, a boutique agency she envisioned as a game-changer in Jamaica’s marketing landscape.
Despite the large number of marketing agencies already in the market, Caine was determined to make SCA stand out. She took up her toolkit, armed with 20 years of combined expertise in marketing, commercial management, and corporate leadership, and set out to create an agency where creativity and strategy would be inseparable.
“From day one my philosophy was simple — the client’s vision becomes our mission,” she recalls.
The early days were marked by hustle, resourcefulness, and no small amount of risk-taking. Caine vividly remembers driving to St Ann to pitch to what would become SCA’s first major client. With no formal boardroom to meet in she presented her proposal at the client’s home, armed only with her laptop, her strategy, and the belief that she could deliver beyond expectations. That meeting ended with a handshake and the start of a long-term partnership that still exists today.
From that first win, SCA’s client base grew steadily. Today, the agency’s portfolio spans over 10 brands across industries including food and beverage, real estate, insurance, distribution, and environmental services.
“We have gone from being the newcomer in the room to being the agency that people know will deliver, and deliver well,” Caine says.
SCA’s offering goes well beyond traditional public relations and marketing. The agency provides corporate coaching, research and analysis, workshops, and financial strategy consulting, creating holistic solutions that help clients not only increase visibility but also strengthen operations and achieve sustainable growth.
One of the agency’s defining strengths is its use of digital platforms. Through Instagram, LinkedIn, and its website, SCA does not just promote services. It shares insights, celebrates client wins, and offers a behind-the-scenes look at campaigns in progress. This approach has helped to position the agency as vibrant, strategic, and unapologetically results-driven.
In an industry dominated by larger firms, SCA has built a reputation for punching above its weight.
“We have gone head-to-head with some of the biggest agencies in the country and won,” Caine says with a smile. “Our edge is that we are nimble, we listen closely, and we treat our clients’ businesses like our own.”
SCA is also thinking beyond Jamaica. With Caine’s fluency in Spanish, the agency is actively building bridges into Caribbean and Latin American markets, offering Jamaican brands a pathway to cross-border growth and positioning SCA as a regional player.
As the company celebrates its fifth anniversary, Caine is focused on growing a larger portfolio across Jamaica and the region. Yet the guiding philosophy remains unchanged: Each client will have a different experience because each client requires something different to meet their objectives.
“We are able to achieve some amazing results because we do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach,” she explains. “We believe in tailoring our solutions to our clients’ needs.”
