Sanmerna Foundation hosts back-to-school treat for students with disabilities
KINGSTON, Jamaica —More than 200 students with disabilities received school supplies, grooming, and encouragement at the Inspire to Empower a Change Foundation’s annual back-to-school treat, in collaboration with the Sanmerna Foundation.
The day featured story time, Q&A sessions with giveaways, and free haircuts from HEART/NSTA trainees, ensuring students were prepared and confident for the new acdemic year.
Other sponsors included Jamaica Urban Transport Corporation, Global Shipping Company, Royal Computers, Excelsior, Burn and Crisis Foundation, Echo Concept, and doctors from Kingston Public Hospital.
Sanmerna Foundation said it was proud to help create opportunities for children of all abilities to enter the classroom with dignity, underscoring the power of community support in promoting inclusivity in education.
