‘Fourteen’ faces multiple charges
KINGSTON, Jamaica — A labourer of Barbary Hill, Lucea in Hanover has been charged with assault at common law and possession of prohibited weapon following an incident in his community on Saturday, August 23.
He is 36-year-old Dwight Atkinson otherwise known as ‘Fourteen’.
Reports from the Lucea police are that about 2:30pm, ‘Fourteen’ and a man got into a dispute in relation to a motorcycle he owns. It is alleged that the motorcycle belonging to ‘Fourteen’ was given to the complainant on a loan.
When the motorcycle was returned it was inspected, and found to have damage to the back rim.
During the fracas ‘Fourteen’ allegedly pulled a firearm and chased the complainant while uttering threatening words.
The complainant reportedly escaped injuries and made a report to the police. Fourteen’ was picked up moments later after being pointed out to lawmen.
He was subsequently charged after an interview in the presence of his attorney. His court date is being finalised
