Ackera Nugent wins Diamond League 100m hurdles
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Ackera Nugent equalled her season’s best 12.30 seconds (-0.6m/s) to win the Wanda Diamond League 100m hurdles title on Thursday’s second day of the two-day final at Weltklasse Zürich at Letzigrund Stadium.
Nugent, who was just off the meeting record 12.29 seconds set by Tobi Amusan in 2022, takes home the Diamond trophy and the US$100,000 cash prize for the event which is part of the Diamond+ discipline.
The defending world champion, Danielle Williams was fourth in 12.44 seconds.
Ditaji Kambundji ran a Swiss national record 12.40 seconds for second place and American Grace Stark was third in 12.44 seconds.
