Businessman accused of hitting man with board in market
ST ELIZABETH, Jamaica — A businessman who is accused of hitting another with a board in a market on Brigade Street in Black River, St Elizabeth on Wednesday is now facing charges of unlawful wounding and assault occasioning bodily harm.
Charged is Davion Ledgister otherwise called “Dany Boy”.
According to police reports, a man was in the market on Brigade Street at about 8:00 pm, making a purchase, when Ledgister allegedly approached him and used a piece of board to hit him all over his body.
The man reportedly sustained multiple bruises and swellings.
A report was made to the police and Ledgister was later pointed out to the lawmen. He was subsequently charged.
His court date is being finalised.
