Chang condemns bomb threats
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Jamaica Labour Party General Secretary Dr Horace Chang has taken note of and is condemning bomb threats on several government buildings which occurred Friday across the Corporate Area and rural Jamaica.
Dr Chang, who is also the national security minister, said it appears the bomb threats are designed to disrupt the vote of the security forces, which is taking place on Friday.
“I urge [them] to desist from seeking to cause disorder. It is important that the democratic voting process takes place unhindered and without the police being preoccupied with bomb threats which have been sent to some government of Jamaica ministries and agencies. Law and order will prevail,” Chang said.
