WATCH: PNP President urges supporters to stay focused ahead of September 3 election
ST MARY, Jamaica — With just days to go before Jamaicans head to the polls on September 3, People’s National Party (PNP) President Mark Golding is urging supporters to remain confident but avoid complacency.
Speaking to party faithful in St Mary, Golding declared that “the winds of change are blowing over the land,” carrying what he described as the PNP’s “unstoppable momentum”.
However, he cautioned that overconfidence could be a setback if supporters do not stay focused on the mission at hand.
“They are going to be trying their best to knock us off our stride,” Golding warned, pointing to what he said was a flood of misinformation circulating on social media.
“But we must not be distracted by any of that. We have a mission, and we have work to do,” he added.
The PNP president emphasised the importance of mobilising voters on election day, making it clear that the party is targeting victory in three key Portmore constituencies: St Catherine South, St Catherine South East, and St Catherine East Central.
“We must ensure that we bring out the vote because we want all three seats… in the column of the People’s National Party,” Golding said to cheers from supporters.
