Trainer Anthony Nunes steals the show at Caymanas Park
Trainer Anthony Nunes had another standout day at Caymanas Park on Saturday, capturing the spotlight with three winners on the 10-race card. His most impressive victory came in the $1.25-million O&S Tack Room Trophy feature race, where Supremasi dominated the competition.
Ridden by Romario Spencer, Supremasi won the Restricted Overnight Allowance contest for three-year-olds and upward over one mile, crossing the finish line three-and-a-quarter lengths ahead of Main Mistress and Allegiance. That performance saw Supremasi complete the race in 1:40.0.
Nunes, who saddled four winners the previous race day, saddled King Piye, ridden by Anthony Allen, to victory in the fourth race, and Another One, ridden by Dick Cardenas, to win the seventh race.
The top jockey of the day was Dane Dawkins, who scored two wins. He rode Big Guy In The Sky to victory for trainer Michael Spencer in the fifth race and Money Must for trainer Ricardo Brown in the eighth race.
The action continues with races on Saturday and Sunday.
