General Elections: PNP’s Steve McGregor wins in Kingston Central
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The People’s National Party’s Steve McGregor has won the Kingston Central seat in the 2025 General Election, based on preliminary results.
McGregor tallied 4,739 votes, while the Jamaica Labour Party’s Donovan Williams secured 4,727 votes. Garth Barnett of the United Independent Congress secured 23 votes.
With the win, McGregor flipped the constituency for the PNP, which lost the seat in the 2020 General Election to the JLP’s Williams, who secured 4,623 votes beating the then PNP candidate Imani Duncan-Price, who secured 4,147.
Meanwhile, in St Elizabeth North Western, the JLP’s Andrew Morris secured 5,555 votes to defeat the PNP’s Patricia Scarlett-Forrester. The JPP’s Jason Edwards secured 39 votes.
