Final counting of votes completed in seven constituencies- EOJ

KINGSTON, Jamaica— The final counting of ballots for the September 3, 2025 General Election continues across the island.

Up to 3:00pm on September 5, seven constituencies namely: St James North Western, St James West Central, St Elizabeth North Western, Manchester North Western, Manchester North Eastern, St Andrew North Eastern and St Andrew Western, completed their count.

The results remain the same as the preliminary count.

The counting of ballots continues into late this evening and over the weekend with the returning officers, in the presence of the candidates and/or their representatives. Approximately 57 per cent of the ballot boxes have already been counted.

The Electoral Office of Jamaica (EOJ) is appealing to the public for patience as it goes through this process, which is guided by the Representation of the People Act.

Further updates will be provided on  Saturday, the EOJ said.
