Patrons danced and grooved to the hits at Footloose
Footloose, the retro party series which began in 2006, continues to attract a large number of faithful patrons at each staging.
Last Saturday’s event, held at Sabina Park in Kingston, and dubbed the Bright Colours Edition, was no different.
With bar deals throughout the night, and high-energy music by the experienced team of DJ Liquid, DJ Marvin and Coppershot’s Marc Chin, it was safe to say that no retro hit was left untouched.
From hip hop, R&B, rock and roll, dancehall, reggae, ska, house, disco and electronic music, patrons partied like there was no tomorrow.
Promoter Tyrone Dixon of Broadway Productions said the event exceeded his expectations.
“The vibe was good. Sabina Park really brought a refreshing vibe and energy to this staging. Phenomenal turnout, patrons came out in droves, and they had a good time,” said Dixon, who added that patron feedback is important as a guide to each staging.
“We listen to our patrons, and we take their suggestions into consideration,” he added.
Organiser look forward to the next edition, adding that the near-2-year-old event was born out of the demand for retro dance parties with a spunk.
