Woman In Love to lead home rivals in Winston ‘Fanna’ Griffiths OD Classic

Twelve runners are down to compete in Sunday’s Winston “Fanna” Griffiths OD Classic. The native-bred three-year-old Stakes contest over 9 ½ furlongs (1,900m) carries a purse of $3.75 million.

Below is the analysis of each runner and their chances of winning.

1. PRINCE ROY: (3 b c by Here Comes Ben – Princess Shine) – After a string of disappointing runs, Prince Roy has shown signs of returning to form with a strong second-place finish on August 23. With his well-being looking good, he is expected to put in another solid effort.

2. WOMAN IN LOVE: (3 ch f by Sensational Slam – Woman Is Boss) – This talented filly has demonstrated her capabilities with a strong second-place finish behind Linguist in the Jamaica Oaks over 10 furlongs (2,000m) on August 2. Given her abilities and recent work, she is tipped to win this trophy race.

3. BOB THE BUILDER: (3 b c by Hedge Fund – Sound of Miracle) – Although Bob The Builder was never a factor in the recent Jamaica Derby, he previously showed promise with a neck win over this distance on July 19. While he might not win this race, he is expected to run well.

4. BIG BUZZ: (3 b c by Buzz Nightmare – Lady Tarkari) – Unfortunately, Big Buzz doesn’t seem to have a good chance of winning this particular race. His form and performance might not be enough to compete with the other contenders.

5. ROARING KITTY: (3 b f by Casual Trick – Salty Talk) – This filly might struggle to keep up with the stronger contenders in the field.

6. BENEISON : (3 b c Sensational Slam – Benediction) – While Beneison has shown some potential, his chances seem limited to possibly securing a minor placing.

7. PRETTY PERFECT: (3 b f by Sensational Slam – Black Bombshell) – This filly has demonstrated remarkable resilience and heart. After finishing third in both the Jamaica Oaks (10 furlongs) and Jamaica Derby (12 furlongs) four days a part, she’s had a well-needed break. With her rest, Pretty Perfect could be a top contender in this race.

8. ALCHEMY OF SOULS: (3 gr c by Spieth – Emerald Belle) – Unfortunately, this colt might find himself left behind in the competition.

9. STAR QUEST: (3 b c by Northern Giant – Thegirlnextdoor) – Star Quest doesn’t seem to have a strong chance of winning and can be safely bypassed in the betting.

10. ENTHUSIASM: (3 b f by Wow Wow – Noon It Is) – This well-bred filly has shown winning form over 6 ½ furlongs, but steps up in distance and class. Her breeding suggests she might still perform well.

11. LOCKDOWN: (3 ch c by Strikewhileitshot – Aria) – Lockdown is unlikely to trouble the main contenders in this race.

12. BOSS MAN: (3 b c by Bern Identity – Miss Boss Lady) – Despite being a recent winner, Boss Man might struggle to repeat his form in this race.
