Mojo Morgan hits regional charts with Jamaica Love
Jamaica Love, the title track from Mojo Morgan’s latest EP, has been impacting the South Florida and New York Reggae charts.
The song debuts at #23 on the South Florida tally and it moves up from #10 to #8 on the Foundation Radio Network (New York) Reggae chart.
Released August 29, via Heritage Grown Productions/Droptop Records, the EP Jamaica Love has eight tracks.
It features collaborations with Sizzla, Gramps Morgan, Jamal, Popcaan, rapper Maino, Chronic Law, Pablo YG, Kelib Morgan, Esh Morgan, Jay Stoic, Opium Black, and King Kaohi.
The package charted as high as #5 on the US iTunes Reggae chart.
Among the producers who contributed to the project are Digital One and JA For Life.
Still on the South Florida Reggae chart, Rod Spence clocks a second week at #1 with Smile, while Kiss of Judas by Etana inches up from #4 to #3.
Here With Me by Yah Mystic glides from #6 to #4, and Hustling in My Blood by Cham, Stephen and Damian Marley arrives at #24.
Left with a Broken Heart by Sampalue is #1 for a third week on the New York Reggae chart. Meanwhile, Jamaica by Kabaka Pyramid steps up from #13 to #11, while
Jah Jah Give Us Life by Duane Stephenson moves into the #13 spot.
In Our Sight by Skip Marley improves from #27 to #25, while Where Do I Fit In by Kashief Lindo and Nikita by Kenne Blessin debut at #29 and #30, respectively.
Over on the Billboard Reggae Albums chart, none of the recent new releases from Spragga Benz, Vybz Kartel or Mojo Morgan have charted.
Bob Marley and the Wailers are now on top for 295 non-consecutive weeks with Legend.
Best of Shaggy: The Boombastic Collection by Shaggy rests at #2, while World On Fire by Stick Figure inches up to #3. Dutty Classics Collection by Sean Paul dips to #4, Greatest Hits by UB40 remains at #5 and Dutty Rock by Sean Paul is #6.
Wisdom and Set in Stone by Stick Figure are #7 and #8, while Welcome to Jamrock, the Grammy-winning album by Damian “Jr Gong” Marley climbs to #9, and Collection: 50th State of Mind by Fiji the Artiste slides down to #10.
