48-hour curfew imposed in sections of Rockfort, Kingston East
KINGSTON, Jamaica – A 48-hour curfew has been imposed in sections of the Rockfort community, Kingston East. The curfew began at 6:00 pm on Thursday, September 11, and will remain in effect until 6:00 pm on Saturday, September 13.
The boundaries of the curfew are as follows:
North: Marl Road to Pleasant Height Road with an imaginary line to Hillcrest from the intersection of Marl Road and Wareika Hill.
East: Wareika Road from the intersection of D’Aguilar Road and the intersection of Hillcrest. Road and imaginary line to Marl Road.South: Intersection of Windward Road and Lucas Road to the intersection of Hillcrest Road and Oliver Road Windward Road to the intersection of Oliver Road and Marl Road.
West: Windward Road from the intersection of Windward Road and Wareika Road.
During the hours of the curfew, people within the boundaries of the curfew are required to remain indoors unless otherwise authorised by the ground commander.
