THE excitement is building for the Mouttet Mile Invitational, set to take place on December 6, 2025 at Caymanas Park. Interest has been expressed in two more overseas horses, Real Macho and Nautical Star, participating in the prestigious $300,000 event.

Real Macho’s connections have sent in their letter of intent while those for Nautical Star, owned by One Guyana Racing, have submitted their entry for the highly anticipated race. With these new additions the competition is shaping up to be fierce.

Real Macho is a four-year-old chestnut gelding bred by Poe Racing Stable, LLC, and sired by Mucho Macho Man out of Hedonism. Trained by Rohan Crichton, who is also a part-owner, Real Macho has won three races from 13 career starts, with his most notable victory being the Carry Back Stakes at Gulfstream on July 5, 2024. In that race he defeated favourite Catalytic by a neck with a timing of 1:23.0 over seven furlongs.

Nautical Star has won three races from 11 career starts, holding second place twice and third place once. He is a five-year-old dark bay horse bred by Gedda Quinonez and sired by
Dixie Chatter out of Kris Me Chocolate. His last win came at Oaklawn Park on December 16, 2023.
