WATCH: Firefighters respond to Spur Tree crash, Mark X driver injured
MANCHESTER, Jamaica — Firefighters are among first responders now at a crash scene on the Spur Tree Hill main road in Manchester involving a Toyota Voxy and Toyota Mark X.
Preliminary reports are that the driver of the Mark X lost control of the vehicle resulting in the collision. A police source said the driver sustained injuries to his head.
Passersby quickly alerted the authorities resulting in firefighters and the police responding to the crash scene.
The Spur Tree main road links Mandeville and its environs to St Elizabeth and points west. Heavily laden, slow-moving trucks often hinder traffic on the steep, difficult hill, and there have been a number of fatal crashes involving trucks over the years.
