Tokyo 2025: Clunis fails to progress in hammer throw
National record holder Nayoka Clunis failed to get past the first round of the women’s hammer throw on the second day of the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo, Japan.
Clunis finished 12th in her group after throwing 68.24m, fouling her first throw before recording the mark in the second round.
The NACAC silver medalist, who had failed to record a legal mark two years ago in Budapest, recorded 65.60m in the third round.
