Manchester funeral director charged with house breaking and larceny
KINGSTON, Jamaica—A 34-year-old funeral director has been charged with house breaking and larceny following an incident in College Meadows, May Day district, Manchester, on September 5.
He has been identified as Wilton Bartley, otherwise called ‘Saddam’.
Reports from the Mandeville Police are that between 8:00 am, and 8:30 pm, Bartley reportedly forced open a lock on the back door of a house, entered and stole several items.
The items included one Canon TI-50 with lens, flash and a 62 GB memory card valued at $120,000, a VIP cologne valued at $5,000 and a queen-size sheet set valued at $2,000.
Bartley was captured on Close Circuit Television (CCTV) entering and exiting the house. A report was made and an investigation launched.
Bartley was taken into custody on September 11, during a police operation. He was charged after a caution statement and a question and answer session.
His court date is being finalised.
