Dawkins dominates Caymanas Park with four-winner haul
Dane Dawkins, a former champion jockey, proved why he’s one of the top notch riders present with an electrifying four-winner haul on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at Caymanas Park. Out of nine rides, Dawkins showcased his exceptional skill and expertise, leaving everyone in admiration.
The day’s excitement began with Dawkins’ first win aboard D’Storm, trained by Patrick Lynch, in the Restricted Maiden Condition Race for native-bred three-year-olds over 5 ½ furlongs (1,100m) in the opening event.
Next, Dawkins partnered with trainer Gary Subratie to secure a double. In the third race, Dawkins rode God’s Plan to win the Maiden Special Weight event for native-bred two-year-olds over four furlongs. Later, in the fifth race, Dawkins and Propellant took the Restricted Allowance III contest over 6 ½ furlongs (1,300m), giving Subratie his second winner.
The pièce de résistance was Dawkins’ fourth win, riding Mark My Identity, trained by Byron Davis, to victory in the final race over 7 furlongs (1,400m). This win capped off an impressive day, solidifying Dawkins’ reputation as one of the top jockeys.
While Dawkins celebrated his four wins, he also had three notable second-place finishes. Despite not taking the top spot in those races, Dawkins’ consistent performance underscored his skill and dedication to the sport.
