Gallons of water flow in Mount Salem
ST JAMES, Jamaica — Copious amounts of water have been flowing from a break in a water main on the Mount Salem main road in St James.
According to residents, the break happened Tuesday just before midday and since then it has flowed uninterrupted into the drains along the roadway.
The National Water Commission (NWC) has since cordoned off the area and has urged individuals to be cautious in traversing the roadway.
It has, however, led to massive traffic pile ups on Wednesday morning and one section of the road is completely impacted by the break so far.
The police have so far been dispatched to assist with traffic management in the space.
