Trio in domestic dispute to go on trial in September
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Three individuals who were involved in a domestic dispute which reportedly escalated into a violent physical confrontation and property damage last month are set to appear in court on September 23 for trial.
The accused are Yanique Llemmard, who is charged with unlawful wounding and destruction of property; Oneil Davidson, who is charged with assault occasioning bodily harm; and Calliah Prendergast, who is also charged with assault occasioning bodily harm.
According to court documents, the incident occurred on August 23, 2025. It is alleged that Llemmard went to a residence to collect money for a child she shares with Davidson. During the visit, a disagreement reportedly developed between Llemmard and Prendergast.
In the midst of the altercation, Davidson allegedly intervened to separate the two women, but in doing so, reportedly assaulted Llemmard.
Llemmard was then overheard threatening to “burn down the house and the shop”. She allegedly smashed several windows belonging to Prendergast.
It is said that Llemmard and Davidson were previously in a relationship, though it is understood that Davidson and Prendergast may now be romantically involved.
When they appeared before the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court on Tuesday, the trio was ordered to return on September 23, 2025, when the matter is set for trial.
