Rideallday targets five wins in a row
Despite the staging of the Blumenthal Trophy feature this afternoon, most attention will be on Rideallday as he goes for his fifth-straight win in the top-rated $1.4-million Open Allowance contest over five and a half furlongs at Caymanas Park.
The talented three-year-old American-bred grey/roan colt, trained by Philip Feanny, has been on a tear, winning five of his six starts on local soil with four consecutive victories. Rideallday has been training like a champ, and his recent form and strong pedigree make him a dominant force.
He galloped five and a half furlongs (1,100m) in 1:06.4 with five furlongs (1,000m) coming in 59.4 on September 14, showing he’s in top shape. With veteran jockey Ian Spence on board, Rideallday is expected to lead the pack.
The other runners in the five-horse field are Fearless Force, Unbelievable Fore, California Crown, and
Money Market.
The contest is positioned as the eighth event on the 10-race card with a post time of 4:10 pm. First race is scheduled for 11:45 am.
Meanwhile, 15 runners are down to contest the $1.25-million Blumenthal Trophy, an Overnight Allowance contest going six and a half furlongs (1,300m) race. Open to three-year-olds and upward, the competition promises to be fierce.
Florindia, trained by Arnald Rambally Jr, and Linguist, trained by Anthony Nunes, are expected to fight out the finish here. Post time is 5:30 pm.
