WATCH: Mountain View residents block road over flooding

Sections of Mountain View in St Andrew have been blocked by protesting residents following the flooding of a gully that runs through the area.

Cars were being forced to navigate their way around debris scattered on Mountain View Avenue up to midday Saturday.

The protest comes a day after heavy rains inundated much of the island, including Kingston and St Andrew, causing significant flooding across the Corporate Area.

The issue of blocked drains and gullies has been addressed by authorities in the past, with repeated calls for residents to refrain from throwing trash into them.
