Seeking answers: A family’s quest for a pathology report
Dear Claudienne,
I have been trying to get the pathology report for my brother who was found dead at his home on October 18, 2022. The pathology report was collected by a sergeant stationed at the Cross Roads Police Station between late February to early March of 2024. Family members who have made several requests for the document were told by the sergeant that another officer named X would call and tell them when the report could be picked up. However, the sergeant has not called them.
Could you please help us to get my brother’s pathology report.

Dear NZ,
Tell Claudienne was informed by the General Office of the Commissioner of Police that your brother’s pathology report was sent to the Coroner’s Court. The column contacted the Court Management Services office to verify if the Coroner’s Court had received your brother’s pathology report.
The e-mail Tell Claudienne column sent to the Court Management Services office stated the following:
“Please clarify how the deceased’s family can obtain the cause of his death. Please also state the steps the family must take to be able to register the deceased’s death and apply for his death certificate.”
On September 12, 2025, Tell Claudienne received the following e-mail from the Corporate Area Coroner’s Court.
“Kindly note that the matter related to the deceased was disposed of on the 15th July 2025. The relatives of the deceased can make contact with our liaison person at RGD Mr Walcott at (876) 878-4681 (Spanish Town office) to get more information on how to get the death certificate.”
Tell Claudienne notes that you have contacted Mr Walcott at the RGD.
We wish you all the best.
