Golfview Hotel introduces intimate dining experience, Chef’s Table Series

MANCHESTER, Jamaica – The Golfview Hotel (GVH) in Mandeville last week launched a new service offering customers a customized, private dining experience with an assigned chef.

According to the hotel in a press release, the GVH Chef’s Table Series is an intimate dining experience, limited to just eight seats per session.

Guests will enjoy a private evening guided by a personal chef in a warm, candlelit setting, according to the release which described it as “a one-of-a-kind gastronomic journey”.

The hotel said the service features a curated menu designed by Golfview’s executive chef, blending creativity with refined Caribbean flavours. Guests begin with a roasted corn seafood chowder, garnished with crisp garlic herb croutons, followed by a refreshing green papaya Greek salad drizzled with a signature red wine vinaigrette.

For the entrées, diners may savor jerk chicken breast paired with a banana patty and caramelized carrots, or tender salmon served with creamed pumpkin, fried okra, and fresh spinach leaves. The evening concludes on a sweet note with beetroot ice cream “à la mode,” accompanied by plain vanilla cake and finished with a drizzle of coconut crème, according to the release.

It noted that the Chef’s Table was introduced to Golfview’s portfolio of offerings by its general manager, Dr Richard Smith, as part of the hotel’s commitment to redefining fine dining in Central Jamaica. For Dr Smith, the experience reflects the deeper philosophy that guides Golfview’s approach to hospitality.

“At Golfview Hotel, we believe food and beverage is far more than sustenance, it is a universal language that engages the senses and unites people. The Chef’s Table embodies this philosophy, offering a space where creativity, passion, and care are expressed through every course,” Dr Smith said. “There is something profoundly fulfilling about the act of sharing a meal; it is a gesture of love, celebration, and artistry. Through this experience, we not only nourish our guests but also honour the creativity and connection that define the very essence of hospitality.”

Golfview’s Marketing and Sales Manager, Letesha Whyte, added: “The GVH Chef’s Table Series surpasses a dinner, it’s an elevated experience in the perfect setting for proposals, anniversaries, or any special celebration. At Golfview, we are proud to offer a space where every detail is designed to create moments that guests will treasure for a lifetime.”

Beginning next month, guests will have the opportunity to reserve their seat at the exclusive table, with bookings available via the hotel’s website at www.golfviewhotel.com and through Instagram at @golfviewhoteljamaica.
