KINGSTON, Jamaica — Breeze Airways is planning to start non-stop seasonal flights from Tampa International Airport (TPA) to Montego Bay early next year.

The airport announced on Thursday that Breeze will launch its first-ever international service from Tampa Bay, with non-stop flights to Jamaica’s Sangster International Airport (MBJ) beginning February 11, 2026. The seasonal route, still pending final government approval, will operate twice weekly on Wednesdays and Saturdays, it said in a statement.

Montego Bay will mark the 30th destination offered by Breeze from TPA since the airline’s launch at the airport in 2021.

“We are thrilled to not only be a partner in Breeze Airways’ growth since its inaugural flight at TPA, but to be among its first airports to offer international service,” said Tampa International Airport CEO Michael Stephens.

“Thanks to Breeze, Tampa Bay area travelers will soon have quick and convenient access to the vibrant culture and amazing beaches in Montego Bay, Jamaica, one of the world’s top vacation destinations. We look forward to continuing to support Breeze as it expands its reach and serves TPA’s passengers with sought-after flights at low-cost fares.”

Breeze Airways, founded by aviation entrepreneur David Neeleman, has expanded rapidly in recent years.

The airline now operates more than 300 year-round and seasonal routes to over 80 cities across the US and abroad.

“Tampa was one of our original launch cities and we’re excited to celebrate another first with the community as we launch our first international flights,” Neeleman said.

“This milestone wouldn’t be possible without the support of our amazing team members, guests, and airport partners in Tampa. We look forward to bringing the same convenience and elevated experience our TPA guests love about our domestic flights to this new international service.”

According to the release, Breeze offers passengers a mix of low fares and upgraded perks, including its Ascent premium seating, free family seating, fast onboard WiFi, preferred seat options, and no change or cancel fees.

Introductory fares for the new route are now available on Breeze’s website, starting at US$99 each way.
