Technology outage impacting several services at VM Building Society branches
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The opening of VM Building Society branches across Jamaica was delayed until 10:00 am on Friday due to an ongoing technology outage affecting several of its services, the bank has confirmed.
To accommodate members, VM Building Society said branches will extend their hours and close at 4:00 pm instead of the usual 3:00 pm.
“The outage currently impacts online banking, ABM access and point-of-sale transactions, leaving these services unavailable for the time being. VM Building Society has committed to providing an update at 10:00 am regarding when these services will be restored,” the bank said.
“Members visiting branches today should expect longer wait times due to the disruption. The Building Society apologises for the inconvenience and thanks members for their patience and continued support as their team works to resolve the issue promptly,” it added.
