Windies to host Sri Lanka in international series next year
KINGSTON, Jamaica — International cricket will return to Jamaica next summer when the West Indies hosts Sri Lanka in two limited-overs series at Sabina Park.
Jamaica Cricket Association (JCA) president Dr Donovan Bennett confirmed with Observer Online that the Sri Lankan team is expected to arrive on the island on June 3 for three one-day internationals (ODIs) and three T20 matches against the Windies.
The tour would be Jamaica’s fourth in two years, having hosted South Africa and Bangladesh in 2024 and Australia this year.
It will also be the first time since 2022 and just the second time in nine years that Sabina Park will host an ODI series.
Sri Lanka has never played a T20 series in Kingston, and their last ODI series and their only ODI matches were in 2013 during a tri-nation series with the Windies and India in 2013.
