Stush in the Bush Makes History on North America’s 50 Best Restaurants 2025 List

Stush in the Bush, the award-winning culinary experience tucked away in the lush countryside of Free Hill, St Ann, Jamaica, has been named No 49 on the inaugural North America’s 50 Best Restaurants 2025 list — making it not only the sole Jamaican restaurant, but also the only plant-forward restaurant to be recognised among the continent’s best.

The highly anticipated awards ceremony was held on Thursday, September 25, at Wynn Las Vegas, where the global culinary community gathered to celebrate the region’s most exceptional dining experiences. Stush in the Bush founders Lisa and Christopher Binns were both present to accept and celebrate this milestone achievement, with Lisa also taking the stage the day before, at #50BestTalks: North American Dream, sharing the couple’s journey of merging regenerative farming with refined, plant-based dining and their commitment to soulful storytelling through food.

“From our mountaintop in Free Hill, St Ann, Jamaica, to the global stage. We remain humble and deeply grateful to the many hands that make this work mindful, to the hearts that lift us up and support the dream, to the many mouths that flow through our space with smiles, open hearts, and full tummies, and to Noel, Marcia, Enid, Elaine, Francis and Vanny …we are our ancestors’ wildest dreams,” she shared, on behalf of her husband.

Set on their 17-acre farm, ZionItes, Stush in the Bush offers an intimate eight-course, seed-to-table dining journey inspired by ital principles and Caribbean foodways, championing sustainability, heritage, and bold Jamaican flavour.

This recognition firmly places Stush in the Bush and Jamaica on the map of global culinary excellence, reinforcing their mission to inspire conscious eating, connection to the land, and celebration of plant-based Caribbean cuisine.
