Firefighters battle a roof fire at Manor Court on Constant Spring Road

Severe roof damage but no injuries in blaze at Manor Court Apartments — Beckford
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Firefighters have extinguished a blaze at Manor Court Apartments, which damaged the roof of one of the units.
The Jamaica Fire Brigade’s (JFB) Steward Beckford confirmed to Observer Online that no injuries or deaths resulted from the fire at the Constant Spring Road building.
Beckford confirmed that the fire had been confined to the roof of one of the units.
Members of the JFB could be seen on top of the building as they attempted to out the flames.
With two trucks from Trench Town and Stony Hill responding to the fire, it was quickly contained, though not without severe roof damage.
Beckford said details on damage estimates or the cause of the fire were not yet available.
