Norbrook man dies in suspected suicide
St Andrew North police are investigating the suspected suicide of a man in the upscale community of Norbrook in the parish on Wednesday morning.
The deceased has been identified as 30-year-old James Todd of a Norbrook Drive, Kingston 8 address.
It is understood that in the wee hours of Wednesday morning, Todd began acting out of character before loud explosions were heard coming from his bedroom.
Upon making checks, Todd’s parents reportedly found him lying on the floor with a gunshot wound to the head and a Sig Sauer 9mm pistol, along with two magazines, beside him.
He was rushed to the Andrew’s Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The 9mm pistol along with a Beretta shotgun that was in a safe at the house were seized.
