‘Enjoy Your Jamaica’
UDC invites Jamaicans to experience Reach Falls for free on October 17
THE Urban Development Corporation (UDC) is inviting Jamaicans to celebrate Heroes’ Weekend with a day of relaxation, culture, and fun at the world-renowned Reach Falls in Portland.
On Friday, October 17, the attraction will open its gates free of charge to Jamaicans as part of the UDC’s ongoing campaign encouraging Jamaicans to ‘Enjoy Your Jamaica’.
The regular fee for Reach Falls is $500 for Jamaican adults and $250 for children.
Guests will be welcomed with a complimentary drink upon entry and treated to an energetic line-up of entertainment and exciting giveaways. Local vendors will be on site offering food and refreshments for sale.
“This Heroes’ Weekend we want to give Jamaicans an opportunity to reconnect with one of the island’s most beautiful natural treasures: Reach Falls,” said UDC Deputy General Manager Sherlock Glenister.
“The UDC remains committed to promoting our attractions for Jamaicans to explore, relax, and enjoy, and this initiative is one more way of showing our appreciation while building pride in Jamaica’s natural heritage,” added Glenister.
The event forms part of the UDC’s wider thrust to highlight its diverse portfolio of attractions across the island and to encourage Jamaicans to rediscover the world-class experiences available in the country.
