‘Pun Duss’ charged following alleged breaches of the Firearms Act
WESTMORELAND, Jamaica – A man has been charged with unlawful wounding, assault at common law and using a firearm to commit a scheduled offence following an incident at his home on Wednesday, August 27.
He is 26-year-old Renardo Adlam, whose alias is ‘Pun Duss,’ of York Mountain, Ashton district in Westmoreland.
According to reports from the Savanna-la-Mar police about 10:30 pm, Adlam got into a dispute with relatives, after which he left and rode away on his motorcycle. Shortly after, he returned on the motorcycle with a pillion, both armed with firearms.
It is alleged that the men used the firearms to hit the complainant repeatedly to his face, causing a wound which bled. Both men then made their escape on the said motorcycle in the area.
Following the incident, a report was made to the police and an investigation launched.
