St Mary escapee back in custody

ST MARY, Jamaica – Twenty-nine-year-old Herbie Ballentine otherwise called ‘Junior’ of Frazerwood, Highgate, St Mary who escaped police custody on Friday, October 3 has turned himself in.

Reports from the St Mary police are that Ballentine was shot and injured during a confrontation with the police earlier that day. He was taken to the hospital for treatment under police guard.

However, whilst being handed over to the police personnel by members of Indecom, he escaped in the area.

On Monday, Ballentine turned himself in to the Islington police with his attorney. He was arrested and placed in custody.

The investigation is ongoing.
