Gujurat, Miss Cookie win third quarter of tipsters’ competition
Anthony “Gujurat” Allen and Bernadette “Miss Cookie” Bishope resumed their winning streak in the 2025 Capital Betting and Wagering Limited/Jamaica Observer Tipsters’ Competition by winning the third quarter in thrilling fashion.
Gujurat took the top spot in the Most Wins category, while Miss Cookie shone bright in the Monetary category.
Interestingly, both are repeat winners, having also conquered the first and second quarters, and they’ve each pocketed $20,000 for their outstanding performances.
Gujurat tallied 211 winners to take the quarter by five winners ahead of Miss Cookie who finished on 206 winners. Ruddy “Kool Kat” Allen finished third on 204 winners, with Donald “Sir Donald” Bahadur coming fourth on 198 winners. Rounding out the top five was Garfield “Santa” Robinson who ended with 197 winners.
Miss Cookie, on the other hand, gleamed like a supernova in the Monetary category, accumulating a staggering $36,793. Her tally represented a noteworthy $2,787 leap beyond where she stood closing out the second quarter.
The Monetary category unfolded like a high-stakes drama, with Miss Cookie and Sherdon “The General” Cowan crafting winning bets at pivotal moments that kept the tension crackling throughout the quarter. The General struck gold with a blockbuster bet paying over $18,000, catapulting him to an early $39,880 tally — leaving Miss Cookie momentarily in his wake with $34,756. Yet Miss Cookie fused sharp smarts with unflappable nerve, orchestrating a comeback that saw her supplant The General and grasp the Monetary crown. Though The General remained competitive, Miss Cookie’s mastery ultimately saw her outmanoeuvre him. The General concluded with commendable $26,982.
The competition’s championship quarter spans from October to December.
