Jamaica lead Bermuda 3-0 at half time in World Cup qualifier
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Jamaica’s Reggae Boyz have opened up a big 3-0 lead over Bermuda at the half time break in their Concacaf final round World Cup qualification return round Group B game at the National Stadium in Kingston on Tuesday.
Jamaica scored three goals in an 11-minute period in the first half to take the game away from Bermuda, an own goal in the 24th minute from Dante Leverock and goals from Bobby Fray in the 26th minute and Shamar Nicholson.
The hosts who had won the first meeting 4-0 in Bermuda took some time to settle but once Leverock headed a corner past his own goalkeeper, the Boyz took over and could have led by a wider margin.
Renaldo Cephas created the second and third goals, using his speed to get the Bermuda defence and produced crosses for Reid and Nicholson to score from close range.
