Rush of Class dominates maiden race by 14¼ lengths
RUSH of Class, a three-year-old chestnut colt, finally broke his maiden tag at Caymanas Park on Saturday, October 11, 2025, after three attempts.
Trained by Dalton Sirjue and ridden by Omar Walker, Rush of Class (Bern Identity – Princess Lorna) wore blinkers and dominated the seven-furlong (1,400m) Maiden Condition race for native-bred three-year-olds, winning impressively by an ever-increasing 14¼ lengths. Rush of Class won ahead of Good Conscience (Richard Henry) and Modern Monarch (Jemar Jackson) in a time of 1:27.3 (24.1 x 48.1 x 1:14.0).
Rush of Class broke off well at the start of the race and quickly assumed the early lead. He was briefly challenged by
Newspaperofrecord (Reyan Lewis) at the six-furlong (1,200m) mark, but that was just a fleeting moment as
Rush of Class asserted himself and set sail.
Going into the half-mile (800m) turn, Rush of Class opened up daylight on the chasing pack of Newspaperofrecord, Good Conscience, Prince Ogilvey (Demar Williams), and Modern Monarch. By the time the field turned for home Rush of Class was long gone, cruising effortlessly as the chestnut colt powered to a convincing victory.
