Trinidad earn draw against Curacao in WCQ
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Trinidad and Tobago clawed their way back to earn a 1-1 draw against Curacao in their crucial Concacaf final round World Cup qualification Group B return round game at the Ergilio Hato Stadium in Willemstad on Tuesday.
Tyrese Spicer, who had scored a double against Bermuda on Friday, scored in the 58th minute to earn Trinidad and Tobago a well-deserved draw, the same scoreline they had played out in the first round in Port of Spain in September.
Kenji Gorre who scored against Jamaica on Friday, had given Curacao the lead in the 19th minute, taking full advantage of a mistake by a defender, who missed a clearance, firing past the Trinidad and Tobago goalkeeper.
The result leaves Bermuda on eight points and Trinidad and Tobago on five.
