NCB says services restored after system challenges
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The National Commercial Bank (NCB) says its services have been restored across platforms after the bank experienced system challenges early Wednesday.
An NCB representative provided the update when contacted by Observer Online a short while ago.
Several customers took to X (formerly Twitter) to complain about challenges accessing their NCB accounts via the bank’s mobile app or website.
“NCB online portal down from morning. It’s now 7:40 am and I can’t do no business,” one user wrote.
“If you have an NCB card, it might embarrass you today,” another shared.
“NCB in its entirety is down…Can’t withdraw, no POS, nothing,” a customer clarified in response to a user’s comment that the bank’s online portal was down.
Addressing one customer in a post on X, the bank said, “We are experiencing system challenges and we are working to restore access to our online banking platform same as soon as possible. Please accept our sincerest apology for any resulting inconvenience.”
