16-y-old boy charged with robbery
KINGSTON, Jamaica – A 16-year-old student of Sunrise Crescent, Red Hills in Kingston has been charged with robbery with aggravation following an incident in Portmore, St Catherine on Tuesday, October 14.
Reports from the Waterford police are that about 4:30 pm, a teenager was standing on the roadway when he was approached by a group of boys, including the 16-year-old.
The boy then brandished a knife, held up the teenager and robbed him of one iPhone 12 Pro Max cellular phone. The group then made their escape on foot in the area.
An alarm was raised, and the 16-year-old boy was apprehended by citizens and then handed over to the police on their arrival. He was subsequently charged on Wednesday, October 15.
Preparations for his arraignment are underway.
