Trading company to stage massive celebration to mark 21 years of Christmas giving in Waltham Park
AS Paramount Trading (Jamaica) Limited marks its 35th anniversary, the company is again preparing to spread holiday cheer with the 21st Annual Waltham Park Community Christmas Treat, set for Saturday, December 13, at 39 Waltham Park Road, Kingston 13.
The annual initiative is part of Paramount’s commitment to corporate social responsibility, community upliftment, and the true spirit of Christmas.
Each year, the event brings together more than 900 children aged three to 18 from Waltham Park and its surrounding communities for a day of joy and togetherness.
According to Anna Maria Graham, director, Paramount Jamaica, this year’s staging promises to be even more memorable, featuring rides, games, competitions, spot prizes, food, drinks, and special performances by popular recording artistes.
“The Christmas treat is such an important part of who we are, and it’s something we all look forward to every year. It gives us the opportunity to give back to the very community we operate in every day. The children love it. They enjoy a fun-filled day with performances from their favourite artistes, exciting giveaways, and, for the past two years, gifts and scholarships through the Libnah Graham Foundation for Grade 6 students preparing for the Primary Exit Profile (PEP),” said Graham.
“Personally, I truly enjoy coordinating this event and seeing it come to life year after year. We are also deeply grateful for the many companies and sponsors who continue to support us and help make it possible. I know this year will be another special one as we spread love in the true spirit of the season,” added Graham.
She pointed out that the event’s continued success is made possible through the generous support of corporate sponsors and volunteers who contribute products, monetary donations, and in-kind items to enhance the experience for participating children
Graham noted that last year’s treat saw children enjoying live entertainment, giveaways, and a festive atmosphere that underscored Paramount’s ethos of community engagement and compassion.
“This year’s edition will once again pull out all the stops with even more excitement, expanding on a legacy that began over two decades ago,” declared Graham.
She added that as Paramount celebrates this 35th milestone year, it remains steadfast in its belief that community is at the heart of everything it does and that the joy of giving continues to be the best gift of all.
