Higgler charged with St Ann murder
ST ANN, Jamaica – A 37-year-old higgler has been charged with murder following the stabbing death of a man at Tracey Ville in Lime Hall, St Ann
Junior Campbell, otherwise called ‘Alka’, or ‘Blacka’, a higgler of Clampstead in Lime Hall, stands accused of the murder of 38-year-old Roy Annikie, a caretaker of Tracey Ville.
Reports from the St Ann’s Bay Police are that about 7:30 pm, residents heard Annikie and Campbell fighting inside a house. Shortly after, Annikie called out for help.
The police were summoned, and on their arrival, Annikie’s body was seen lying face down in a pool of blood with multiple stab wounds.
The scene was processed, and the body was later removed to the morgue
pending a post-mortem.
Campbell was apprehended and taken into custody on Thursday, October 9. Lawmen formally charged him on Friday, October 17.
His court date is being finalised.
