Taylor Hinds still in coach Busby’s Reggae Girlz plans
Reggae Girlz head coach Hubert Busby said the door is still open for Taylor Hinds to represent Jamaica after she opted to accept a call-up by England’s Lionesses.
The 26-year-old Hinds, who was born in England but has Jamaican grandparents, firstly represented England at the youth levels before switching to Jamaica in 2024 and making her Reggae Girlz debut against France last October.
But with that France game being an international friendly and not a competitive match, Hinds was not tied to Jamaica.
England manager Sarina Wiegman has called Hinds into her team for two international friendlies against Brazil and Australia later this month.

Busby in a press conference on Thursday to announce Jamaica’s team for a friendly against Trinidad and Tobago on October 28, explained that Hinds is still eligible to represent Jamaica.
“She has alluded to it that her future is up in the air, she hasn’t made a final decision yet. But it remains absolutely fluid at this particular point in time,” said Busby.
“She has made that decision and we respect that decision and will have to see what transpires in the future,” he noted.
“We respect that. We have had numerous conversations and we respect her decision at this time. It’s unfortunate that we would have liked to have gotten her in previously, but some of the paperwork was outside our control. It was a process that she needed to go through. Unfortunately, it took a lot longer than expected, that is the reason she was not involved in other games,” Busby pointed out.
