#EyeOnMelissa: Education Ministry says remote learning to continue on Friday

KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Ministry of Education has announced that all schools are to remain in remote learning mode on Friday, October 24, 2025, as Tropical Storm Melissa continues its approach to the island.

The ministry said it will continue consulting with the Meteorological Service of Jamaica and the Office of Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Management (ODPEM) and will issue further guidance over the weekend regarding the resumption of face-to-face classes.

Members of the public are urged to stay tuned for official updates.
