#EyeOnMelissa: ISSA calls off games due to approaching storm
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Inter-Secondary Schools Sports Association (ISSA) has announced that all games scheduled for the remainder of this week have been postponed “until further notice” due to the impending arrival of the area of disturbed weather across the Caribbean.
A release from ISSA on Thursday said, “Based on the update from the Meteorological Office. The next round of matches for the Dacosta and Manning Cups have been postponed until further notice. Forty-eight-hour notices will be given prior to the restart of the competitions.”
The Round of 16 in both the daCosta Cup and Manning Cup competitions started on Wednesday and were scheduled to continue on Friday and Saturday.
Additionally, the junior football competitions, Under 14 and Under 16, were due to start this week, as well as boys’ basketball, while netball games were also scheduled.
