#EyeOnMelissa: Mt Pleasant’s Caribbean Cup return leg semis pushed back
KINGSTON, Jamaica- Mt Pleasant FA’s return leg semi-finals against Trinidad and Tobago’s Defence Force FC has been rescheduled, “due to adverse weather conditions expected to impact Jamaica as a result of Tropical Storm Melissa,” a release from Concacaf said on Friday.
Mt Pleasant FA, the 2012-13 Jamaica Premier League champions, won the first leg game 5-1 in Port of Spain on Wednesday and the return leg was scheduled for Wednesday, October, 29 in Kingston.
The game, however, has been pushed back a week and is now scheduled for Wednesday, Nov 5, and is set to start at 6:00pm.
According to the release, “The decision to reschedule the match was made to ensure the safety of all parties after consultation with local authorities, and in close coordination with the participating clubs.”
The other semi-final legs between Dominican Republic clubs O&M FC and Cibao FC, which will now be played on Thursday, October 30 and Thursday, November 6, respectively.
