#EyeOnMelissa: Scotia Group announces early closure
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Scotia Group says its branches and offices of Scotia Insurance, Scotia Investments and Scotia Protect will be closed at 1:00 pm on Friday due to impending weather conditions.
The bank said Scotiabank ABMs will remain available as long as possible over the next few days to ensure cash availability for its clients. Scotia Group, however, noted that there may be delays in the processing of ABM deposits made between October 24-27.
“Online banking services will remain available today; however, the cut-off times for same-day transfers via RTGS will be 1:45 pm, and there may be delays in ACH transfers,” the bank said.
“We urge all our clients to prepare for the impact of Tropical Storm Melissa, including purchasing storm supplies and safeguarding their financial documents, IDs and bank cards. Please also take all other precautions to ensure the safety of your families at this time,” Scotia Group added.
